Sanwo-Olu Commissions Tinubu-Named NURTW Emergency Unit in Ebute Metta

Saego-led initiative boosts welfare services for transport workers in Lagos:


The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has officially commissioned the newly completed NURTW Emergency Unit in Ebute Metta, a landmark welfare project spearheaded by the Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Mustapha Adekunle Saego.

The modern facility, strategically situated in Ebute Metta, is fully equipped with a sickbay, hygienic restroom facilities, and functional union offices aimed at improving healthcare access and administrative efficiency for members.

In recognition of his leadership and contributions to national and grassroots development, the Emergency Unit has been named after the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the union’s leadership for prioritizing members’ welfare and strengthening institutional structures within the transport sector.

The event attracted top government officials, union executives, and transport stakeholders, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to enhance support systems and infrastructure for road transport workers across Lagos State.
