Lagos Mirror Magazine:
Barring any unexpected development, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has resolved to return Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi as the party’s State Chairman for another four-year term.
The resolution followed extensive consultations among key stakeholders and party leaders, effectively paving the way for his re-election at the forthcoming state congress scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026. The congress will take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan.
Party insiders indicate that the exercise is expected to be largely symbolic, as leaders have agreed to maintain the current State Executive Committee, with the exception of members who have moved on to other responsibilities.
According to senior figures within the party, while concerns emerged in the aftermath of the recent local government primaries — as is common in political processes — Ojelabi’s stewardship and administrative performance earned him broad support among the leadership.
They expressed confidence that sustaining the present structure would enhance stability and strategic coordination as the party prepares for future electoral engagements.
With consensus firmly established, delegates are now expected to formally ratify the decision at the congress, marking what party sources describe as a renewed phase of unity and consolidation for the Lagos APC.
