Ladipo Road, Mushin, came alive with purposeful action as a comprehensive sanitation exercise was carried out, underscoring the commitment of the Mushin Local Government to environmental cleanliness and public health. At the centre of the exercise was the Executive Chairman, Hon. Tubosun Aruwe, whose hands-on leadership once again distinguished him as one of the most environmentally conscious council bosses in Lagos State.

The exercise saw the removal of refuse heaps, desilting of drainages, and sweeping of major corridors along Ladipo Road, a critical commercial artery. Sanitation officers, environmental marshals, traders, and residents worked in unison, reflecting a growing culture of shared responsibility encouraged by the council leadership. Hon. Aruwe was visibly present throughout the operation, engaging sanitation workers, monitoring compliance, and sensitising residents on proper waste disposal practices.

Beyond routine clean-up, the initiative reinforced the council’s zero-tolerance stance on environmental abuse and illegal dumping. It also highlighted the administration’s preventive approach to flooding, disease outbreaks, and urban decay—challenges often linked to poor waste management.

Residents and traders commended the consistency of the sanitation drives, noting improved cleanliness and orderliness in the area. Under Hon. Tubosun Aruwe’s leadership, Mushin continues to set a benchmark for grassroots environmental governance, proving that effective leadership begins with presence, discipline, and a clear vision for a cleaner, healthier Lagos.
