 Lagos Mirror Magazine:

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to internal reform and digital innovation as he joined the APC national leadership at a press conference on the ongoing nationwide electronic registration exercise.

The briefing was held to formally update party members, supporters, and the general public on the progress and objectives of the e-registration initiative, which is being coordinated by the APC National Secretariat. The National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, was represented at the event by the National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, who outlined the strategic importance of the exercise to the future of the party.

According to party leaders, the digital registration process, anchored on verifiable National Identification Number (NIN) and Voter Identification Number (VIN) is designed to produce a credible, transparent, and unified membership database. The initiative is expected to eliminate duplication, strengthen internal democracy, and enhance preparedness for future congresses and electoral engagements.

The press conference was attended by senior party officials, key stakeholders, and state coordinators overseeing the registration process nationwide, reflecting broad-based support for the reform.

Pastor Ojelabi encouraged APC members across Lagos State and the country to fully participate in the exercise at their wards and designated centers, describing it as a vital step toward building a stronger, more inclusive, and more competitive APC ahead of future elections.
