The ancient town of Igbanko Kingdom is aglow with joy today as its revered monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sheriff Adeshina Bello, Ambigun II, the Onigbanko of Igbanko Kingdom, celebrates his birthday in thanksgiving and reflection.
The celebration comes at a significant moment in the reign of the respected traditional ruler, as 2026 also marks his sixth year on the throne of his forebears. Since ascending the throne, Oba Bello has continued to embody the values of peace, unity and cultural preservation, providing steady leadership for Igbanko Kingdom while promoting harmony within Badagry Division and Lagos State at large.
In his goodwill message, the monarch extended heartfelt greetings to sons and daughters of Igbanko Kingdom at home and in the diaspora, urging them to remain committed to the growth, unity and progress of the land. He also offered prayers for Nigeria and Lagos State, calling for peace, stability and prosperity for the nation and its people.
Oba Bello’s reign has been marked by a calm, inclusive leadership style, with emphasis on community cohesion, respect for tradition and constructive engagement with government and stakeholders for the development of the kingdom.
