Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reassured the people of Badagry that the long-delayed construction of the Badagry Central Palace will soon commence.
According to the governor, the project was previously stalled due to a land dispute, which has now been fully resolved with the allocation of a dedicated site for the palace.
He confirmed that the necessary budgetary approvals have been signed, paving the way for immediate action. Governor Sanwo-Olu added that following a renewed reminder from the local council chairman, the state government is set to mobilize to site, marking a significant step toward preserving Badagry’s cultural heritage and traditional institutions.
