In a strategic move aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery at the grassroots, the Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Omo’ba Adeola Alimot Adetoro, has formally handed over official Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to councillors serving in the local council.
The presentation ceremony underscored the administration’s commitment to equipping elected representatives with the necessary tools to function optimally. According to the Chairman, the provision of the vehicles is designed to address mobility constraints often faced by councillors, thereby enabling them to effectively discharge their legislative duties, engage constituents, and monitor developments across wards within the local government.
Omo’ba Adetoro noted that efficient representation requires accessibility, responsiveness, and regular engagement with the people, stressing that the initiative aligns with his broader agenda of responsive and inclusive governance.
Reacting to the development, the Leader of the Eti-Osa Legislative Council, Hon. Mudashiru Sadiq, commended the Chairman for the thoughtful intervention. He described the gesture as timely and impactful, adding that it would significantly enhance legislative productivity and deepen councillors’ engagement with their constituencies.
